The Moises Nursery School is in reality a reformation and expansion of the old nursery school. However, except for the sloped roof that was there and can still be seen, it is hard to tell which was the existing part and which the new area. The school was designed following the established functional plan, but we took fully into account the comments of the teachers and director of the center. One condition that we imposed upon ourselves was to have natural light and access to the exterior from all the schoolrooms, except for the sleeping room, which has light and ventilation but no access to the patio. This brought a sense of space and light that allowed for us to adjust the size of each one of the rooms, as well as provide very agreeable rooms for the users. In the end, the best thanks we received were the public congratulations on our work by the director and teachers of the school in front of the Mayor and the Schools Councillor for Terrassa, and other authorities, on the day of the inauguration ceremony, even though this was after the school had been open for more than 6 months.
We have to mention that the cost of this school, in spite of the difficulty of the renovation, was very economical: 20% cheaper than any other school we have done to date.
